The USARA National Championships started this morning at 6 AM Missouri time. The first five teams into CP 1 included some familiar faces: Scott Pleban (Team ATP), Jennifer Shultis (Team EMS), and Joe Brautigam (Team EMS Masters). You can check out the online coverage at http://www.usaranationals.com/race_hq.aspx . This is a 36-hour race but the winners will probably finish in 30 hours or less.

Good running to everyone heading to the US O Champs this weekend.

MOAT edged out EMS to repeat as champions. Alpine Shop took 4th. EMS Masters finished 9th to take the masters' win. Nice work folks!

You're skipping a year in your mind there, Eric: EMS won in 2006 in Santa Barbara, CA. MOAT won in Florida in 2005.
