There were surprisingly few termite mounds at the Aust Champs rogaine. But lots more controls than the NSW long champs will have!
(I'd vaguely considered going to the middle distance if we were going to do a Mother's Day weekend Sydney visit, but the Appin map doesn't look enticing and we've postponed the in-law stuff until June now anyway.)

Only 1 of our 6 controls was on a termite mound (the others were all gullies or watercourses).
