You looked like you were almost floating over the ground at the top - very impressive style, that man. The contrast between your style and Sasha's (also impressive, but all power and grit) was remarkable! Cracking runs by you both and, yes, I agree with you about the time penalty from being directed around the bog - I questioned the (student) marshals about that on my way up but they had no meaningful reason to offer. What's more, I could see that it didn't take long after the first few descenders for everyone to just start running across the (dry!) bog on their way down, which was pretty unfair for you faster runners.
