I can't believe you've never had a significant dog encounter. If I had a dollar for every time I've been bitten, chased or generally bailed up, I'd be a rich(ish) man. Where was this particular prickly pooch located ?

Dog encounters can be random. I have been bailed up in lead free zones and then abused by the owner for getting the dog overly excited. Apparently in lead free zones runners are fair game.

The last day for school varies. Out west Westbourne was wednesday, werribee high Thursday. I saw a large group in fancy dress at 6am on Thursday, either got up early or hadn't gone home.
