Very impressed to see a 17-minute PB - you seem to be speeding up as much as some of the rest of us are slowing down.

Excellent run and a great write up! All the consistent and progressive training paid off really well. Plus a great birthday present to yourself :-).

Great effort Jase and good reward for all the hard work you've put in! Sounds like you had a great strategy for the race as well from reading your report. Only downside is that your race reports are more interesting when they include a spew and a lie down ;)

Sounds like you couldn't have done it better. Well done Jase!

Great run Jase, your report brought back a few (painful) memories of that last downhill section!

Thanks all.
Rob - yes I waved to the good burghers of the Lawson Fire Brigade as I went past their tent which I spent so much time in a few years ago....
And Devil - yes the last hill is very painful. Dave Baldwin had a nightmare time going down it this year.

Great race, great write up but disappointed to hear there was no plug slowing you down too much ;)

Just as well it wasn't this weekend - Katoomba has had 300 millimetres of rain in the last week.

Yes SwissMiss - hate the plug. ;)

And yes Blair - I checked the 'live river gauge' (or whatever its called) from NSW Water. Last weekend for 6FT it was showing .68m, but right now its up to 1.7metres!!!! I'd think that's race cancellation territory....
