Thanks for the advice. Some of those Scandinavians do have a "lean and hungry look".
When I go someplace new, I try to learn a few words and phrases. Somehow Albanian stuck a little more than some others. It is quite a surprise for a native Albanian speaker to run into an American who speaks even a word of it. My seat mate was kind enough to say "ju flisni shumë mirë shqip", that is, you speak Albanian very well. She was likely referring to my more or less passable pronunciation rather than my tiny vocabulary.
