that road from Cambusbarron/Sauchie Crags up past the mast and then down into Carron Valley is a great bike route too (apart from the state of the road!). Doing that as a loop coming back up and over from Fintry to Kippen is an ideal sunny evening ride in the summer, not too far to fit in after work, but scenic and hilly. FVO group ride in a few months?

Cool - totally unplanned, great views. Opportunities to do big loop and all new for me.

Also good for lunchtimes, except when you puncture at the high point with no repair kit...

Sounds good. I have cycled it the other way round, which is a more gradual climb.
