Not stuffing up the first control was obviously the key :)
So, W40 or W21 next year?

Probably a bit of both. Not that keen to run 21 long races at the moment as don't feel very fit and having issues with my feet. At this stage thinking I'd like to run 40's at Oceania if we go. What about you?

Jenny, looks like you have a W40 entrant for the A/NZ Challenge!

I did say "if we go". Craig is still sitting on the fence about wanting to go. I think kids have decided they'd like to go.

I expect Bruce would like Craig to nominate so that there is an M40 team!

Yeah, I'd run 40s if there is a W40 team (sounds as though Tracy will only be at WMOC, not Oceania). If not, since I do like sand dunes, it would probably be ok to run elites as a pre-WMOC 'boot camp'.

I qualify for M40s next year but doubt I'd make any team ahead of any other runners.

Ditto. I'd need to train, remember how to navigate, and don't think my kids would be as keen as Craig and Rachel's

Craig:
I'll be in M45 next year.

For WA Champs?

Craig:
No, have to stick to M21 at least until Liam joins me. He has talked about running M21 in the sprint next year.

Until Liam joins you or until Liam beats you? We could have a very wide age range in M21s in future. It already spans something like 30+ years with Oliver at one end and Simon at the other.

Craig:
I doubt there will be much gap between Liam joining me and beating me.
I expect Phil will want to join in so that would be 62 years between him and Liam.

There was a Vic Long Champs in 2006 where for much of the course there was an M21 pack consisting of Warren Key (born 1959), myself (born 1971) and Simon Uppill (born 1987). Warren's first WOC was in, I think, 1979 and Simon's last will probably be sometime in the 2020s.

How much could you purchase the pack for? Is there a souvenir edition?
