She was sprinting alongside everybody. I think she got a good interval session in.
I don't actually know how old she is; I think the age estimate came from Neil.
Age fact.
And she sprinted past you. And Eric. She sprinted alongside Will C, so I wouldn't feel too upset.
Me: You're fast.
Una: I aaam.
Wait a sec, who said she sprinted "past" me? If I recall correctly, I crushed her like a grape.
Eric may be able to argue his case. You, well... only future presidents can make claims like that...
Btw, I find it sad that the Young girls don't have an orienteering club training/socialising structure to fall into in hvo-land. They'll all become athletes and who would blame them?
:( HVO needs a junior program.
Another 9 year old girl from my club (Lia) ran the finish line in 27s. I gave it all I had in the finish chute and was also 27s.
And yes HVO needs a junior program. We have a group of girls in our ARK Attack program that have a lot of fun each week. Several of them do multiple sports but look forward to ARK the most. The social structure is critical. We know we do this well for U12 kids but are still having trouble retaining teenagers (like all sports do).
