I got my first podium finish in a WA long champs, that's what happened :P

And you didn't even need one of those ridiculous WOC podiums.

No I didn't need a podium at all because I finished just as they were presenting M21 so I just kept running through to collect my award, although I think it was a badge so I didn't actually receive it until the dinner (unless they didn't have dinners that year and I did get it at the event).

Actually I did a Bryce-esque style write up for that one. One dumb thing I did was riding to and from the event at the southern end of Jumbuck the day before so that probably didn't help my fitness.
