Chris Froome the other night was, according to 7, going to peddle his way to gold. I can only assume he was going to wait to see who won then sell off his bike in small pieces in exchange for the medal.
Saw that one too. I thought the idea was that he'd swap his bike for some bullion (assuming that one or both weren't nicked as soon as they were sighted on Rio's streets).
Not in the same league - but l enjoyed hearing a commentator speak encouragingly about a female athlete who came last - finishing it off with 'she just needs to get faster'. Wise words.

Of interest was a practice aptitude test I completed this morning for spatial reasoning, with one tip for improvement being to 'read and draw maps'.
The Australian Olympic team Facebook page has just reported that "Aussie Brooke Stratton is the first woman in 12 years to make the women's Olympic long jump final!". I was unaware that the fields in the 2008 and 2012 finals had consisted entirely of men - perhaps somebody should tell the IAAF?
