Was interested in using this race as a training race with a new teammate but just realized it is restricted to solos and doesn't allow collaborating with other racers.

Is there any option to somehow race with 2 people and just be classified in a separate division? We don't care about prizes or anything. Otherwise we won't be able to attend. It just seems silly to me to turn people away. Orienteering is typically an "all welcome" type of event. And I don't see how it effects the rest of the event/competition if the teams are classified separately or not at all, but I may be missing something.

CNYO is hosting a traditional Rogaine in July (different location), as well as this REgaine in August.

They added the REgaine concept to their schedule a few years ago, for those who like the Rogaine format but wanted to go it alone. The enforced breaks are for safety reasons.

That said, you might be able negotiate something with the organizers to do it as a team if that's the only event fitting your schedule. They're pretty tame. ;-)

Yeah, just ask them. It's hard to imagine them actually saying no.

(Or failing that, just sign up, do what you want to do, and if you get disqualified, big deal.)
