That's an awful lot of climb for a 10k. And a good time for all that climb. Was it all road?

It is a fun 10k, the climb at the start is gentle, and then there is a fun drop down to river level again. Quite a long stretch down to the far end of the course. I wanted to tuck in behind a tall guy because it gets quite windy there. I tired to use Jakob but I was just a tad too far behind to get the full benefit. The long climb after the turn around was where I started to fall off the pace. I lost Jakob, and then Per Jemth from IF Thor came past with a small pack hanging on. The final hill up past the Sten Sture monument is murder. I lost another place on this hill, I clawed back ahead of the guy (who ended 15th) on the way down to the track, but when we got onto the track I couldn't keep up.

The surface is maybe about 50% asphalt. A lot of gravel and some beautiful dirt trails. I was 1 minute faster last year, but this year I had played two hours of pretty intense innebandy, which was maybe not the ideal preparation :)

Really a good run, especially if you correct for the climb, it translates to a 34:30 flat 10K!
