Hi All,
The Junior National and JWOC teams are doing the control challenge fundraiser again this year.

Here are the rules:
Rules for the challengers:
1. Each control costs $2
2. You may challenge multiple athletes any number of controls. You donate based on the athletes who meet their total challenge number by May 31st 2016.
3. Multiple challengers can challenge one athlete. The athlete must hit the total number of controls challenged by May 31st for any of the challengers to donate.
4. Once an athlete has been challenged 300 controls they cannot be challenged any more. Another athlete who has less than 300 can be challenged.
5. Rather than challenge an individual athlete a challenger may challenge the team. The team consists of all JNT and JWOC team athletes combined. The athlete’s individual totals combine to make the team total. (Note Individual athletes do not have to meet their individual challenge plus the team challenge they are considered one) The team can be challenge up to 5000 controls. The team must hit the total number of controls for all the team challengers to donate.

Rules for the athletes:
1. Controls cannot be double counted. This includes going to the same control twice on a course.
2. Start and finish do not count as controls.
3. A control is considered a feature, streamer, or an O flag depending on the training or race.
4. The map must be posted or linked to the athletes AP log to count.
5. All maps must be posted by 11:59pm on May 31st to count. This deadline is relative to athlete’s time zone.
6. Athletes must hit their combined total of challenged controls by May 31st for it to count.

So if an athlete doesn't meet their challenge total, they generate zero donations?

Challenging all JNTs and the JWOCs not on JNT (I think that is only Martin) to 5 controls each.

What's the easiest way to post a picture of a map on our logs?
May 5, 2016 6:17 AM #
bubo:
Ask your mother ;)
May 5, 2016 6:48 AM #
Rosstopher:
Hey Izzy B, you have a DOMA site So upload your map there, then use the html code for posting an image for example. Is that enough to get you started?
May 5, 2016 5:30 PM #
Izzy B:
Yes thank you! I wasn't sure if that was the easiest but now I am :)
May 5, 2016 7:20 PM #
Cristina:
Also, the Attackpoint Enhancement Suite has a smart-paste for DOMA maps: when you past the url for a map into a comment or log entry on AP, APES generates the html to show the thumbnail as a link to the full map.

Attackpoint Enhancement Suite! Why didn't anyone tell me about this sooner?

GuyO:
How many controls have each of the challengees visited so far?
May 26, 2016 12:53 AM #
schristoph:
Erin, if I visit a control and then I do another course and it has the same control, does that count as double counting?
May 29, 2016 2:38 AM #
mikeminium:
How are we doing on meeting goals?

Also, Erin, I want to suggest that you allow an extra 24 hours for posting maps from May 31 events. I know at least one club has an evening sprint on the 31. I think that asking participants to get a map scanned, uploaded, and linked before midnight might be a little tight for some.

mikeminium:
An additional challenge. I just went through my log. So far this month I have visited 208 unique controls (Not counting any duplicate visits).

Anyway, I will donate an additional $50 to the team for each junior who exceeds the number of unique controls that I visited this month. Does anybody have 200+ yet?
May 29, 2016 3:31 AM #
Evalin B:
I believe that Anton has visited over 200 controls so far!
May 29, 2016 3:54 AM #
Thompass:
Hey Erin, could I get a copy of the training maps we did on Monday so I can post them? Thanks!
May 31, 2016 2:04 PM #
miclaraia:
I'll take you up on that challenge Mike, 300+ for me.

Giving everyone 2 extra days to get maps uploaded. So June 2nd is the cut off for maps being posted.

I think for athletes over 208 controls I think Michael, Anton, maybe Thomas, are Asne close or over.

mikeminium:
Ok, my final tally is 226. 8 more on Monday and 10 today.
