Discussion: SkiO Regular Entry Extended

The regular entry deadline has been extended through Sunday March 6. After that late fees will apply.

Not sure of conditions in the far north of Maine? Entry fees are refundable if the event is cancelled -- but at the moment conditions are good, with skiing on 20 km and another foot of snow expected Wednesday.

The Nordic Sports Center reports another 6" of new snow on top of a 10-12" base (according to fossil's NE Snow Depth). Should be excellent!

Bulletin 1 has a list of Presque Isle hotels at the end. Not too many to choose from, I think many are staying at the Hampton.

More final details and our assessment of the conditions will be out Tuesday night after we get up to the venue.

I had great skiing at Carrabassetts yesterday. Tune-up for the Nationals! :-))

On-site Tuesday afternoon. Good snow on the Presque Isle ski trails. Woods have 8-12" heavy snow which will groom nicely for narrow trails. Conditions shaping up nicely for skiO this weekend.
