Well done,
had similar issues to you it seems (I got caught out by a few other smaller mistakes, including 10 which I feel was in the S depression on top of the spur, rather than the N one on the spurside).
Was mostly a runners (or in fact a swimmers) course, no surprises in the results I think
10 was definitely the wrong depression. Was it an inexperienced planner/controller? Don't want to be a moaning oldie but thought there were a few things that should've been picked up/improved.
I really don't want to comment on that, it is my club after all. I wasn't involved with the preparations / planning, only the organisation on the day but I know everyone had put in a lot of effort and had the best intentions, and there were a lot of constraints (including the date!) that had to be navigated.
Mind you, now that I think I visited most available areas around the New Forest, I start to feel like there is only so much that can be achieved with this terrain in terms of designing a course that would be challenging/interesting enough.
