When I looked at the map, I wanted to make the descent and ascent as forgiving as possible. I considered going around on the left because of the fast clearing running, but the trails are just as fast, but I failed to consider the fastest route around on the right, which has a lot less change of elevation overall. It's a little far, but it saves so much climbing. It's so far to the left though, that I didn't see it when I was looking at the map. I went barely to the right of the line to the small trail going down the reentrant into the other trail in the bigger valley. I followed it around to the left and went up the big reentrant with the trail in it until the left turn then went straight to the control. It has a lot more climb than I would recommend though, so the rote around the right is much faster.
