I've heard it's a nice town - from a colleague who attended the MASCC conference there some years ago; hope people won't be too disappointed when they come to MASCC in Adelaide next June, which dates I have just realised clash with the Pichi Richi marathon :(
G & I would have passed through St Gallen if I'd convinced him to take the crossing-the-Bodensee route from Ulm to Vanessa's, but he called me out on my ferry obsession and so we went via Schaffhausen instead!

Jen & I stayed with Lucky Luke for a few days there. I can clearly remember an undulating gentle run with an unfit and injured Lucas... Near killed me!

We went there on the Tour O Swiss - a nice town with lots of interesting street art.

I did an event there in 1984. There was a 3.5km walk uphill to the start on top of that ridge!

Saw the cog rail on my run yesterday - at that point it runs right next to the road.
