Little Truckee is the perfect map to work on going straight, since its actually possible most of the time.

If there's not an insane hill in the way, you should go straight. Like, under the line straight. Try it. Its what the Euros do.

I tried it when there weren't the insane hills. It worked most of the time but the two or three times it didn't oh man were they spectacular.

Question on this race, I'm looking at the routegadget, what is the deal with the silly super easy control #1? Every day. Why did they do that?

Control 1 was where most people would have put the start triangle, with a streamered route from the start line. Instead they had the start triangle on the start line and a useless control 1.

It didn't really hurt anything for the classic days, but it would have been more interesting on the sprint to eliminate the easy first control and have 2 as 1.
