I think #1 was the only control where knowing the trails was a significant advantage.

I started a few steps down the trail since everyone was going that direction, but turned back quickly and took the trail that I had printed on the map last year (which leads to very open woods quickly):

2-3 and 8-9 I took an unmarked trail I knew about but I don't think it made for a much faster route (also on last years overprinted map).

oh-and that encircled area to #11 should be all darkest green.. its a mess..
