Canadian team for WOC'03 in Switzerland.
Men: Mike Smith; Nick Duca; Wil Smith
Women: Sandy Hott Johansen; Pippa McNeil; Katherine Scheck.

Looks like Canadian orienteering is faling in the same trend that US orienteering is for manny years and that is ,that most of the best orienteers, who should be on the teams(M&F), are staying home,declining positions on the teams for WOC's.I do'nt want to say, that the actual teams that go to WOC's,are not worthy, but in US,as well as in Canada a number of top orienteers are not even interested to go to the trials nor,to be named on the WOC's teams.I don't know what the reason is in Canada,but I would think is of a similar nature as the one in US,and that is, from what I have seen over the years, that the Orienteering Federation is not really interested in finding ways of supporting the National Teams, the way they shold be ,but you can't expect more ,since it does not operate like a real sporting Federation either.

Congrats to Nick and the Smiths, Pippa and Katherine. Give 'em hell in SUI. We'll se you guys there!
