See if you can sneak on to Hayward Field track for a mile. Mecca.
I was really injured in 1984 and ran my only mile (jog) of the summer on that track, just because...

Hardcore:

when I have been there the track has been open. Raced a 5K there once. Best of luck Leslie, have a nice race.
