Reading your log is bringing back memories of my knee injury - everything from the MRI to a little bit of easy biking to the feeling of going stir-crazy. I hope time and phsyical therapy will be enough to get back to normal.

Did you have surgery or just lots of PT?

Lots of PT and recovery time. I didn't tear any of the ligaments (but sprained the ACL, MCL and PCL) but had some bone damage. The bone damage meant I basically couldn't put any weight on it for 6-8 weeks.

One of the hardest parts was to avoid overdoing the PT. I was so motivated to get better. The physical therapist spent a lot of time stopping me from doing more. Once the bone was ok, I think it was good to do a lot more.

Mary tells me that the inactivity made me a bit crazy.

The orthopedist didn't think PT was an option right now. I just have to wait another month until the bruising heals.

Bob has mentioned that I have been "cranky" lately. Cranky and crazy are probably related. I have felt that I'm somewhat depressed, and I hardly ever feel that way, so I'm sure it's the inactivity and inability to plan my summer.
