I've been looking and looking and there's nothing.

It's only like two months away, right? And I may have already committed to designing something for Cascade.

Sorry, we haven't been very good with advertising or anything. It's definitely happening. Whether we get sanctioning for the prologue/chase A meet is still up in the air, since Ed hasn't submitted the sanctioning application yet. Whether we hold the sprints on the originally planned maps is also in the air, because I haven't heard from the permit people. What will definitely happen are eight super awesome sprint/park races/trainings on a variety of ISSOM maps, probably all accessible via public transit.

June 11-14. Be there.

Do it Nev! I need help rooting against the Sox as obnoxiously as possible!

But rooting against the BoSox is so easy to begin with? Especially the damage they've done to gentlemen with beards.

I like this new NoAM tradition of having sprint weekends in places with fancy beer and good seafood.

The Seattle Tournament is starting to unravel a bit. Permitting fell through at UW (semifinals & finals) and also Magnuson Park (quarterfinals). It's complicated, but there's just not much flexibility there.

I think we've found a replacement for the semifinals and finals, but it'll require a major map update. And I think we'll just double up the 2nd round and quarterfinals at the same venue. That means doubling up two venues that aren't really that big. And not using one of best sprint areas in the USA (UW).

What was promising to be a spectacular event is now just going to be a fun one.

For 2016, I'll shoot for earlier in September, which will avoid the UW mess. I originally wanted to go Sept 12-13 this year, but there were other major navigation events that weekend, so I moved back. Those events since got canceled, but then were replaced by other events and other conflicts at the venues.

why did permitting fall through?

For UW, it's during Dawg Daze, and they don't want any outside events on campus for those 9 days, even on Sunday mornings, when there aren't any other campus events going on. This one is probably my fault, assuming that we could go on any ol' Sunday.

For Magnuson, I have no idea. Apparently, there's a charity walk that day, but it's in the morning, and we'd only be using it in the late afternoon.

It's a little frustrating because we'll only be at each venue for a few hours, we're only having 80 runners, and we'll barely have any equipment, and we're just being told "no".

The other venues are a go, though.

Ah permits.... I had a situation where there was a charity walk with hundreds of people predicted and they didn't want us in the park too... We were around 80 people... I did manage to convince them that they wouldn't even notice we were there, and it all worked out in the end. It's a lot of leg work and time though to get it all in place. Good luck!
