Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of a place with group accommodation near Bear Brook, New Hampshire. I am thinking of using the local meet there as the basis for the North East Junior Squad training weekend. Any suggestions?

There's camping in the park, and camping with amenities like flush toilets/showers/power at Twin Oaks. Twin Oaks gets bad reviews from prissy city folk, but it's totally fine. I've stayed there twice.

I'm not sure I like the idea of non-parent supervised camping under my watch...plus I don't have any camping gear!

What exactly is the difference between non-parent supervised camping and non-parent supervised other accomodation?

I can't find a date for this event anywhere, but if it fits into our calendar I would volunteer as a parent supervisor for camping... assuming the snow is gone by then.

It's the 26th April. The difference for me is that i don't have camping gear or indeed anything that would be needed to stay at a campsite. It would prefer a place with beds and rooms, and maybe cooking facilities too.

Also I just took a look at the Bear Brook camping and I don't think it opens till the weekend after, as is the case for pretty much everything camping based I can find in the area.

Any more ideas anyone?

Well, what if you booked a couple rooms at a hotel and split the charges?

That is the backup plan, thanks Carl!

Probably a toss up as to Concord or Manchester. Concord certainly has a lot of rooms and might be a bit more convenient given that the BB entrance is on the north side.
