Hey all I am wondering if it is possible to get a elevation profile of a course from open orienteering mapper?

I have some orienteering maps that will be used for cross country races by highlighting the tracks of the course. So I am then looking to be able to take the profile from that.

Is this possible, if not in OOM is it possible in OCAD?

Thanks

OCAD 10 & 11 standard can generate contours and then a profile along any selected track from a digital elevation model (DEM) - not sure which version of OCAD 10 is required.

the DEM can be generated from LIDAR data or loaded from gridded data.

Thanks. I'll look into that.

I don't have the LIDAR data, I just used the data you get off the vic government website so hopefully it can do the same thing.

My understanding is that the publicly available DEM is interpolated off the 10 metre contours on pre-digital maps. Good luck.
