Should be some fast finish splits, trying to upload to AP and Patrik has a negative split.

What's that all about then?

only seems to have affected some (the fastest) people. could the time on the finish punch somehow be wrong?
Feb 8, 2015 10:32 PM #
undy:
Yep, guessing that the time on the finish and the time on at least the last control were not in sync. It affected everyone, but Patrik was the only one who went negative, I had to bodge his last control time.

having seen Patrik run towards the finish then do a 180 I'd guess he missed 15.

and what would we need to be able to put this on routegadget? It'd be a fun one to see.

Oh no, a setter didn't sync the bricks! Time to get kofols on the case to find out how to improve the process.

Looking at the DOMA map and GPS tracks of atsip, it looks like the start and finish were ~50 seconds off from the rest of the controls.

If so, then massaging the splits file to add 50 seconds to the start and finish times would clear things up.

Mmm, RG may not like the splits file (reasonable enough). Would probably have to make PG's split 1 second rather than 0 seconds as per preliminary fudge.

Leave as an exercise for Parkino ;)

My overall time and split to 15 are correct (+/- 2 seconds) according to the GPS. I think its the start control that was out of sync. My time to 1 appears out by 48 seconds. Which if you add that to my supposed finish split of 11 seconds makes 59 - which agrees exactly with the GPS.

I have loaded the event into Routegadget using the map image from facebook, and cumulative splits times from undy. All of the cumulative split times have been reduced by 50 seconds to match O-ing's gps times, so Patrik's finish chute time is now 49 seconds.
I had to leave the start and finish times untouched, and adjust all of the cumulative splits - fortunately LibreOffice Calc is a bit easier to use for time calcs than I have experienced with Excel!

and I added some gps tracks downloaded from AP, without any adjustment - let me know if you want your route deleted (but no OOB to worry about) so you can re-enter it.

Fantastic work @rockman, great to have you back in action with the computer.

I'm never going to live it down!

Thanks Rockman! I suspected that bush bashing was quickest to 9 - Toby proved that. But you had to get it right!!

Shingo:
And probably helped if you went out late.

I was a pretty similar route to Toby on 9, and last start, but obviously didn't get as clear a line through the bush!

Tobby:
The second bit of bush bashing was pretty lucky. I almost ran straight past where I went, but saw the clearing through the bush (mostly the lighter sand colour).
