As in why my total lack of training? Combination of work and starting the search for a new car and it being nasty cold here. It's pouring snow still so hope to get up skiing again soon, but work is taking a lot of time and energy. Plus I'd like to work on French and banjo in some order.
Or are you referring to Baird resigning? That's been met with a shrug so far internally (as civil servants go-to response is to shrug). Our unit works on Minister of Trade files, but our ADM report to both Ministers. DFATD is a little strange.

Yep, the latter. Shrug. I thought it would have been more fun than that.
Lack of training? Join the club. Every window I get quickly closes lately. But I had some hope of getting skate boots and poles to go with the skis I bought last year and have never used.
And I remember my dad getting my mom a banjo for an anniversary gift when I was somewhere around ten. I don't think she ever looked at it again after the first wtf moments. Even at that age I was like dude, what were you thinking?

Fun also means contributing to a transition binder, so I guess that counts. I only dealt with his office once. They had some crazy ideas man...
