Thanks for posting you route. As a perpetual student and unlikely participant in the Big Leagues, I regard your examples as inspiring. And I share your consternation re #9. I must have stood on top of it twice before Susie said "look down."

What legs in particular Bill? I'm interested to hear! Good to see you out there today!

One in particular was #4 - never would have occurred to me to go around in the white near the road because I was looking for paths. But my general comment goes to posting Quick Route renditions overlaid on the course maps. Charlie is the only one I peek in on that consistently does that. Examining the experiences/choices of you elites is a fun virtual play for me since I can't get to many events and it shows me how I continue to misread maps or overlook key features on them.

I was going to go around in white near the road to 4, but I got down there a bit and all I could see was barberry, so I went back around to the left, lost quite a bit of time with that foolishness. Probably should have just gone further and further right until I found a place to go.

I went through there on my way from #5 to #6, choosing to contour to the road rather than climb over the hill (which Becks did with apparent energy), and I found paths through the barberry. The barberry pretty much disappeared half way to the road.

When I met Becks at #4, I assumed she had slithered somehow through the green and wondered how she could do that. Then when I was a top the hill in the field and failed to realize there was a path along the wall where I saw her climb through green to #5, I wondered if she was related to B'rer Rabbit.

Never considered going R to 4 as the barberry on that slope keeps getting thicker and more extensive. So trail, field, over knoll in open woods to bag - not! Was fine till reached end of knoll and faced a much bigger drop than expected and fully covered by downed trees and briars. Had to go way around to work down. Much nicer was the little path out to the field. Would have been nice if map reflected all that - and maybe it will pretty soon.

There are other changes needed like removing the boulder in the neighborhood of 9. I'm sure the flag was 30m SW or so of where indicated on the map.
